The activities associated with the handling and movement of returned product (assets, materials, semi-finished product, goods, merchandize) to a storage location. This includes determining the optimal storage location, assigning equipment and operators, physical movement of product and recording the associated inventory transactions.

Use Cases

  • Storing materials awaiting to be refurbished, repaired, remanufactured
  • Storing materials awaiting further inspection/examination
  • In a Warehouse: Storing materials awaiting repair
  • In Retail: Storing goods awaiting sending to repair center (e.g. cell phone brought in for repair)
