The activities associated with the gathering and analysis of performance gaps within the network. Information collected includes: Performance (metrics) by node and high-level process in the network.
The purpose of Network Performance Analysis is to identify the processes that have the highest contribution to the overall performance gap.
Without properly documented Geographic maps, Logical Material Flow Maps and/or Value Stream Maps, processes may not be properly identified. Over-complicating the problem may result in analysis paralysis. (Consider statistical perfection versus directional accuracy).
