The activities associated with movement of products (finished goods, semi-finished goods, assemblies, subassemblies) or assets to the Deliver process or another M process. This may include BF of materials used, recording the M4 completions, recording/calculating production costs and closing the WO where applicable.

Use Cases

  • BF of Work Orders, Repair Orders
  • Internal transport to a manufacturing warehouse or shipping dock
  • Formal release of reconditioned product to the manufacturing warehouse/logistics
  • Transfer of a customer asset to shipping/logistics

Notes

Some M4 processes do not apply the practice of BF; the recording of materials issued occurs as part of the M403 and M405 processes.
