The activities associated with the movement and handover of product (goods, materials) to the process originating the sourcing of the product (e.g. Make-To-Engineering-Order or Deliver-To-Engineering-Order). This includes scheduling the transfer, picking, handling of the product and recording the associated inventory transactions.

Products transferred using Source-to-Engineering-Order processes are custom Sales Order Stock: sourced based on a specification derived from a specific Customer Order and/or Production Order.

Notes

The Transfer process may be limited to logical (ownership) transfer if the product is already Put Away in the target location. Sourcing Cycle Time Source-to-Pay Warehouse Distribution Center
