Consider: energy resources required to ship finished goods through the distribution network, climate control warehouses, etc.

- SWI = Sustainable Water Intake Ratio, as a percentage of total water intake
- SEI = Sustainable Energy Intake Ratio, as a percentage of total energy intake
- SMI = Sustainable Material Intake Ratio, as a percentage of total materials intake
- SSI = Service Provider Environmental Sustainability Indeces for relevant service providers, pro-rated (%)
- n = 4
Notes
- All supply chains typically have intake of energy, materials, and services, but not always (industrial) water. If no (significant) water intake occurs then use: SWI = 0 and n = 3.
- Intake Sustainability Ratio is calculated for direct (supply chain) and indirect (related overhead) processes.
