The activities associated with movement of products (finished goods, semi-finished goods, assemblies, subassemblies) or assets to the Deliver process or another M process. This may include BF of materials used, recording the M4 completions, recording/calculating production costs and closing the WO where applicable.
Use Cases
- BF of Work Orders, Repair Orders
- Internal transport to a manufacturing warehouse or shipping dock
- Formal release of reconditioned product to the manufacturing warehouse/logistics
- Transfer of a customer asset to shipping/logistics
Notes
Some M4 processes do not apply the practice of BF; the recording of materials issued occurs as part of the M403 and M405 processes.
Typically the product or asset changes from WIP to FG status as part of the transfer to Deliver.
